Organizations certified on the CO2 Performance Ladder take part in programs and initiatives that lead to the reduction of carbon emissions within the entire business sector. Their participation in these initiatives and programs is obligatory once they reach level 2 of the CO2 Performance Ladder. From level 3 onwards, organizations are obliged to communicate about the initiatives they take part of, the programs they initiated (requirement 4D) or the programs they participate in to reduce carbon emissions within the entire business sector (requirement 5D). On this page you can find programs and initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, that have been published by certified organizations. The Certifying Institution (CI) always verifies whether the organization participates in the initiatives and programs. Moreover, the CI verifies whether these initiatives and programs meet the requirements based on the business activities of the certified organization.
